China Southern Power Grid signed a memorandum with Kazakh partners to jointly develop projects in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission, digital energy solutions, and pumped-hydro energy storage. Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) Chairman Nabi Aitzhanov presented Kazakhstan’s plan to add 32 gigawatts of generation capacity by 2035.
