The Eemshaven battery project is RWE’s first large-scale battery storage project in the Netherlands with an installed capacity of 35 megawatts (MW) and a storage capacity of 41 megawatt hours (MWh). That is equivalent to powering 3000 EV chargers at once. 110 lithium-ion battery racks are installed at the Eemshaven power plant.
